New Car Market in Ethiopia: 2024 Import Data Is Analysed

Based on import data analysed by the ceauto team, there were 2800 new light vehicles imported into Ethiopia in 2024. The country was the first to entirely ban the import of ICE vehicles.  Despite this the ban, electric vehicles consisted just 20 percent of total imports.
