Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company has signed a strategic partnership agreement with China’s FAW Group to produce a range of vehicles under the “Nasr” brand, according to a statement issued on June 17. Mohamed El-Saadawy, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, said the agreement comes after an extended period of discussions and coordination between the two sides. He added that the partnership reflects mutual trust and a shared vision for long-term cooperation, with a focus on transferring advanced technology, increasing the use of local components, and supporting Egypt’s plans to revive its national automotive industry. Nasr Automotive, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, has re-emerged in recent years as one of Egypt’s historic industrial players, and currently manufactures three passenger car brands in addition to several bus models.
