Chery Algeria has officially disclosed the full scope of its industrial venture in Algeria, pledging a large-scale investment, competitive pricing, and a clear commitment to transforming Algeria into a regional hub for car manufacturing and export. The project is backed by a $107 million (€90.6 million) investment plan designed to consolidate Algeria’s industrial base and stimulate economic diversification. The initiative will directly generate 2,000 jobs, including 500 immediate positions at the launch of the factory. Additionally, the project will anchor Chery’s R&D centre in Algiers, while the capital will also serve as the headquarters of Chery International’s regional office for North Africa. The company is intent on delivering vehicles at prices aligned with local purchasing power. Chery Algeria has secured exclusive rights to export locally-manufactured vehicles to seven African countries immediately upon the factory’s operational start.
